• Paging Rates for Telemetry Users

It has come to the attention of management, that some of our customers are “abusing” the “unlimited paging” policy of Black Bear Paging Service. Due to this abuse of the unlimited paging option, we are no longer able to provide this option to all our customers using Telemetry. Effective June 9, 2004.

“TELEMETRY” being defined as computer generated paging or paging automatically generated by a computer. Many telemetry devices are used for email notification, alarms, home confinement devices, emergency notification, etc. Telemetry use does not include the use of software paging or paging generated by manual means through a software program, internet paging (text or numeric) from our website, or weather messages and alerts provided by Black Bear Paging.

In order to be fair to all our customers, telemetry users will have a rate increase for their service. This increase will be 6 cents per page after the first 100 pages. Your base rate of $11.00 per month will not change. However, you will have another line item added to your current bill that lists your additional charge after the base rate. This will be effective immediately! There will be no exceptions! Only customers using Telemetry will be affected by this increase!

We expect all current customers using any form of telemetry device(s) to contact our main office immediately! We will need to know exactly which pin numbers (and capcodes) that you are using on our system for passage of telemetry data. Please be advised, that we do have the means to track any and all pager usage and to pin point all users of telemetry devices.

ALL UNREPORTED PAGERS USING TELEMETRY WILL BE DEACTIVATED IMMEDIATELY UPON DISCOVERY!
